Intranet provides smooth access to relevant information

INTEC is a young company working mainly with design, installation, environmental coordination, inspection, risk management, and advanced technical analysis in electricity, plumbing, energy, industry, and fire protection.

Previously, internal communications and project documentation at INTEC were managed using Microsoft Teams, email, and simple server-based file storage. However, as the company began to grow, it became clear that it needed a more powerful digital workplace with improved support for key processes and activities.

After scanning the market and evaluating possible solutions, INTEC chose to build a new intranet based on Microsoft 365 and Omnia. Since the launch of the new intranet, the impact on working practices has been immediate and very positive.

Besides leading to a more unified company, better communication and quality in project processes, the new solution has also significantly improved INTEC's knowledge-sharing. The intranet also supports traditional functions such as news, events and organizational information, as well as business process visualization, document management and structured team collaboration.

“The new intranet ensures that everyone has smooth access to relevant information and that our processes, projects, and documents are created and managed in a uniform and correct manner. It has also become easier for us to develop and share knowledge and skills”, Filip Eriksson points out.

Built-in tools help INTEC meet ISO requirements

The intranet has also helped INTEC meet its ISO requirements, as Omnia has built-in process tools that allow INTEC to create a robust Quality Management System that fulfills all regulations reliably and efficiently.

Since the launch of the intranet, INTEC has seen a significant improvement in internal structures and working practices. This has increased productivity and paved the way for future growth, in line with the company's business plan to expand in the coming years.

The intranet has also been crucial for INTEC to establish a culture where employees are willing and encouraged to share their knowledge and help colleagues solve daily work challenges. End-users can create, publish, share, and comment on knowledge articles, documents, and training videos. According to Filip Eriksson, the intranet has become an autonomous knowledge and education platform, where employees can easily share knowledge and best practices:

“Even though we create a lot of content and training material, our employees also want to share their knowledge. It’s very powerful and valuable when employees can help each other in a simple and efficient way and at the same time build a dynamic knowledge base that boosts our competence and competitiveness. During the short time we have had the solution up and running, we can already see how the development of knowledge has gained momentum. Omnia's smart search filters, subscription and notification features also make it easy to stay up-to-date and to distribute new knowledge.”

A platform for growth and success

The Omnia-based intranet has proven to be a valuable tool for INTEC, enabling the company to grow and expand its reach. By providing a unified digital workplace that supports internal communications, process and document management, project management and knowledge-sharing, INTEC has strengthened its capabilities and established a learning culture that is key to future success.

With the new intranet in place, INTEC has seen new internal structures and ways of working increase productivity and pave the way for future growth. The company is confident that the investment will help them realize their business goals and provide high-quality services to their customers. With a strong culture of knowledge-sharing and collaboration, INTEC is well positioned to succeed.
